There is a particular kind of quiet that only happens on a Sunday before eight. The house is still, the light is low, and nothing has gone wrong yet.
We think bedrooms should feel like that all week. It starts with making the bed a place you actually want to be — which is less about decoration and more about texture. Rough, busy, synthetic fabrics argue with rest. Soft, natural ones agree with it.
Small rituals, repeated
Put the phone in another room at ten. Open a window for five minutes, even in winter. Change into something that has never been to an office. Brew tea, not coffee, after noon.
None of these are achievements. They are small agreements with yourself that the day can begin later — and that the home you live in should make that easy.
